On Saturday, March 4, 2017, Harold Baskin, born in 1934 in Brooklyn, NY died due to complications from leukemia. He passed peacefully at his home in Frederick, MD with his beloved family by his side. Harold studied Fine Art, Advertising and Graphic Design at the prestigious Cooper Union School of Art in NYC, BFA-1956. Some of his many professional achievements include: Associate Art Director, Nation's Business Magazine. Art Director, Washingtonian Magazine. President and Board of Directors, Art Director's Club of Metropolitan Washington and President and Creative Director, The Baskin Group, Inc. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Baskin, his daughter Deborah Innocenti; his son David Baskin; his three grandchildren Alex Innocenti, Nicole Innocenti and Silvia Schneider; his nephew Michael Ferrell and his three nieces Suzanne Ferrell, Dana Schneider and Rachel Jones. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017, 12:30 p.m. in the chapel at the Judean Memorial Garden Cemetery, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832. Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital and Hospice of Frederick County. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him and in his own words, "No tears, please. Just smile". Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Inc., under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

Dear Ruth, Phil and I saw Hal's obit this morning. Just want you to know that we are thinking of you. Keep Hal in your heart for that is where he now lives.
