Of Fairfax, VA, died on Friday, November 22, 2013. Husband of the late LaVerne W. Taylor; father of the late Margaret T. Chase. He is survived by sons, David S., Lawrence K. (Annette) and Kenneth M. (Karen); sister, Dorothy T. Higano; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Archer, an electrical engineer, was a founder and pioneer of cable television, and author of two books on the subject. No memorial service to be held. Donations in his memory may be made to the Friends Committee on National Legislation, in Washington DC.

He was a pleasure to work with and was a true gentleman and professional. He knew how to work hard, enjoy friends and make a significant contribution, both professionally and personally.
