DAVID AUXTER  

Dr. David Auxter passed away on September 4, 2018, at the age of 91. Before retiring to Glover Park, he was a professor at Slippery Rock University where he taught adapted physical education. His research supported the passage of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. He was actively involved in The Kennedy Foundation, the Special Olympics, the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities and other non-profit organizations. Throughout his life, he was a staunch advocate for individuals with disabilities. He will be missed by his friends, family, and colleagues. No services are being held.
