Diane M. Davis "Deeny"  

Diane Melanie Davis, age 62, died suddenly on Wednesday December 5, 2018 in Upper Marlboro, MD. A third generation Washingtonian, she is survived by her devoted husband Christopher D. Gerber; and five siblings, Dorothy A. Davis, James A. Davis, III (Patty), Gregory P. Davis (Kelli), Margaret E. Davis, and Michael T. Davis (Devon). She leaves her mother-in-law Jeanne M. Gerber; sister-in-law Lynn J. Davis (Peter); and brother-in-law Michael J. Gerber (Melanie). She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Davis; her father, James A. Davis, Jr.; her brother, Kenneth M. Davis; and her mother; Margaret H. Davis. She leaves six nieces and eight nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 3630 Quesada Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20015 on Thursday December 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the Parish Center. Burial private. In lieu of flowers Diane would appreciate donations to Cornell Lab of Ornithology, 159 Sapsucker Woods Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850 or Humane Society of the United States - Emergency Animal Rescue Fund, 1255 23rd St. NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037.
