FAITH McCORMICK Obituary


FAITH ANN McCORMICK (Age 70)  
Died on April 2, 2017 at Georgetown Hospital's Lombardi Center with complications from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Faith, a resident of Fairfax Station, VA was a graduate of Penn State University and held a Masters degree in Public Administration from Georgia State University. Faith, who in her professional career and private life gravitated to positions and organizations that support and give aid to people. She worked as a career executive official at Health and Human Services, culminating as Acting Commissioner in the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Faith was a foster parent to a developmentally disabled child; co-founded "Food for Others" in collaboration with St. Mary's Parish of Fairfax County, Virginia; served as a member of Fairfax County Community Emergency Response Team; and a member of the Clifton Community Women's Club, providing community-based service projects.Faith is survived by her husband of 35 years, Vance; and son, James and his fiancée, Jessica Sweede. Memorial contributions may be made to Food for Others (www.foodforothers.org/) or The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (donate.lls.org/).A family service and life celebration will be held at a later date.
