On Thursday, May 23, 2018, George Warren Good, 97, a long-time resident of Alexandria VA, died peacefully at the Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Arlington, VA. He is survived by his oldest son, Dennis Good (and wife Beverly) of Britt, MN; his youngest son Donald Good of Herndon, VA; his loving daughter Diane Eyssartier of Bluffton, SC; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Odette Good and two sons, Douglas and David Good.
George proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Solomon Islands Campaign as part of the Americal Division. He met his lifetime wife and partner Odette Marie Eyssartier in New Caledonia. He retired in Washington, DC in 1964. After his military retirement, George pursued a career with the Federal Government as an Executive Assistant for the US Army Signals Warfare Laboratory. He retired from Federal service in 1982. He also worked for 20 more years as a tax preparer and later as an office manager for H&R Block in Alexandria, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. on October 18, 2018 at the Old Chapel in Fort Myer, followed by his interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
