On Friday, June 8, 2018, IRA W. CHIDEL, M.D., of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Elinor Chidel. Devoted father of Steven (Lanis) Chidel, Robyn (Brian) Kotzker, Philip (Kris) Chidel and Dr. Mark (Patty) Chidel. Dear brother of Marcia Reid, Sandra Rudo and Brenda (Jim) Smith and the late Harvey (the late Phyllis) Chidel. Loving grandfather of Charlie, Jennifer, Brian, Adam, Lauren, Rachel, Aimee, Sophie, Gibson and Daniel. Cherished great-grandfather of Saylor and Raelynn. Dr. Chidel was proud to serve his country as a Preventive Medicine Officer for the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. Following his service, he completed his residency at the Washington Hospital Center in radiology. He then joined Drs. Wener, Boyle and Associates, where he proudly practiced for 26 years. His devotion to his family and friends was unconditional throughout his life. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 12 Noon at Shaare Tefila Congregation, 16620 Georgia Ave., Olney, MD. Interment following at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. After the interment, shiva will be observed at the late residence and also on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the .
