Suddenly, On Monday, May 7, 2018 while traveling to Costa Rica.
A beloved brother, favorite uncle and loyal friend who brightened the lives of many. Reid was a world traveler who considered himself a tourist at heart.
He is survived by his siblings Mark, Paul (Melinda), and Virginia Joehl (Jeff) and his nieces and nephews Walter Joehl, Cole, Walker, Avery, Brooke, Lucy and James Butterfield. He was predeceased by his loving parents James R. and Elizabeth Butterfield.
A celebratory remembrance of Reid's life will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Rockwood Manor, 11001 MacArthur Boulevard, Potomac, MD 20854.
