James Wood Obituary

WOOD JAMES CLARK WOOD, JR. Suddenly on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Georgetown University Hospital, JAMES CLARK WOOD, JR., of Washington, DC. The son of the late James C. Wood, Sr. and Frances Kirten Wood. He was born April 12, 1939 in England, Arkansas and grew up in Little Rock. Mr. Wood attended the University of the South (Sewanee) and received his undergraduate and law degree from the University Of Arkansas. A long-time Washington lawyer and public servant, he is survived by his wife, Janet Rosie Sauser, their daughter Melissa Qiuhong Wood, of Washington and his son Courtney Wood, of California. His son, Ashley Wood died in 1996. A memorial gathering to celebrate Jim's life will be held Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. John's Church, Georgetown, 3240 O St. NW, Washington, DC, with a reception to follow.
