Of Red Horse Farm, Barboursville, VA died Wednesday, November 14, 2006 in the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. She was born November 8, 1913 in Loveland, CO and was a daughter of the late Alfred Wild and Mary Chamey Wild. She was married to the late Walter Howe, former diplomat and United States Ambassador.
Mrs. Howe is survived by three sons, Jonathan Howe and wife, Elizabeth of Alexandria, VA, Peter Massie Howe of Barboursville and Walter Robin Howe and wife, Elaine of Paducah, KY; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy Brigham Howe and a brother, Alfred Wild, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2006 at her home, Red Horse Farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Service, Foundation Office, c/o Martha Jefferson Hospital, 459 Locust Ave., Charlottesville, VA 22902. PREDDY FUNERAL HOME, Gordonsville in charge of arrangements.
