JEANNE PATRICIA DINGELL  

Passed away at age 51 in Poznan, Poland on May 15, 2015 after a long illness. Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother of two children. She is survived by her husband, Romuald (Romy); daughter, Romy Alessandra and son, Robin Francis Lagodka in Poznan, Poland. She is also survived by her father, John and his wife, Debbie Dingell; and her brothers, John and Chris in Detroit, Michigan. She is also survived by her mother, Helen Dingell in Denver, Colorado and her sister, Jennifer in Washington, DC.
 
Jeanne was an avid outdoorswoman who loved hiking and mountain climbing. She was a businesswoman who developed several enterprises with her husband, Romy in Poznan. Jeanne was a historian with a PhD in German Economic History from the University of Berlin. Her research interests were the victims of World War II in Europe and their reestablishment in United States. During her career, Jeanne was a featured speaker at conferences in both the USA and Europe. Jeanne's funeral will be in Poznan, Poland on Friday May 29, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials can also be made to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC in her name. Jeanne's family will miss her.
