STOLTZ
Joseph Richard Stoltz
Joseph Richard Stoltz, EdD, longtime resident of Washington, DC, passed away June 25, 2018, at age 82. His son, Kelley, of San Francisco, half sisters, Sue, Barb, and Nancy, and half brother, Ken survive him. Born and raised in Michigan, he graduated from Michigan State, Boston University, and Columbia. He was President of Lincoln College, Lincoln, IL, from 1972 to 1977, and later held senior administrative positions at Aspen Institute, Virginia Tech, and the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation. He loved music and the arts, and watched with enormous pride as his son matured as a musician. A private family service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lincoln College (lincolncollege.edu) or the DC retirement community Ingleside at Rock Creek (www.ircdc.org), his home for many years.
