Karl B. Atkinson  

On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Karl B. Atkinson, a beloved son and brother, departed this life. Karl was 67 years old and will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, generosity, and outgoing nature. He was born on May 24, 1951 in Hanover, Jamaica, the eldest of six children. In 1968, he immigrated to the United States, where he later joined the U.S. Army, serving his new country for eight years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Palmer, siblings (Winsome Daley, Collette Palmer, Opal Plummer, George Palmer, and Laton Palmer), nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 16th at 11 a.m. at Hunts Funeral Home, 908 Kennedy ST, NW. Viewing will be Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
