Born February 5, 1927. Passed away peacefully July 24, 2018, at his home in Suitland, MD. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Bane; and son, Leonard, Jr. Survived by his children, Elizabeth Boyd (Thomas Butler), William, Christopher, and Charles Bane (Anthony Joseph); grandchildren, Ryan Kane (Liz), Chris Bane, Shawn, Ryan and Lauren Boyd, Morgan Bane, T.J. Butler (Tanya) and great-grandchildren, Tre and Julienne Butler. Leonard was a WWII veteran and held a long career as a steam fitter for the Federal Government. He was a member of the Masonic Naval Lodge No. Four and the First Baptist Church of Camp Springs, located at: 6936 Allentown Rd., Camp Springs, MD, where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Strickland Funeral Services.
