LILLIAN LORRAINE MORSE
March 22, 1928 - June 20, 2018

Lillian Lorraine Morse was born in Baltimore, MD to Lillian and Howard Barnes. She moved to Washington, DC with her parents at age three. She lived there until 2001, at which time she relocated to Dallas, TX, to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and James Turner. She graduated from Dunbar High School, Howard University, and George Washington University in Washington, DC. Lillian was employed by the Washington, DC school system as a teacher and school counselor for 30 years. She was a member of People's Congregational Church before moving to Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Howard Barnes, and husband, Birtel Morse. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Turner; son-in-law, James Turner; son, Paul Morse; grandchildren, Courtney Standmire and Douglas Turner; great-grandchildren, Madison and Douglas, Jr. Turner; a niece and several cousins.
A memorial service was held Friday, July 6, at Lincoln Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Her final resting place will be in Dallas. Donations can be made to any food pantry or food bank.
