Dear Ed, Kathy & Sarah,

We are sadden to hear of the loss of dear Lucy. When we think of her we recall the many years as neighbors & friends. She was many things --- great cook, "excellent driver", warm & funny, but most of all, a kind & caring person. We are happy to have known her. We hope that time will ease your loss & the many memories will fill you hearts.

Dear Amb. Perkins, Katherine and Sarah,

We were so saddened to hear, only yesterday, that Lucy passed away. The last time we saw her was in February 2006 when we stopped on our cross-country trip from Portland to Washington. She was such an inspiration, just full of hope and gratitude for the opportunity to obtain the heart and live longer. She said she wished her mother had been so lucky. Always looking at the bright side, she said she was able to get special treatment going through security at the airport and "they even let Edward come with me." She was just unbelieveable. We'll never forget her, and the hospitality she extended to us when we were all far from home, in Liberia.

Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Dear Edward, Katherine, and Sarah,

Our family was saddened to learn of Lucy’s passing. She will be greatly missed. We’re blessed, though, to have such fond memories of her as a wonderful chef and hostess who shared in the CCD carpooling for our children and who had such a warm disposition and sunny sense of humor. May she rest in peace. Dawn and Tino Calabia

Dear Perkins family, may you comforted with love of family and freinds at this time. Lucy and your entire family was a great inspiration to me as we traveled through this great journey in life together over the last few years. Words can't express enough the love and kindness you showed me as I somehow hopefully helped turned a struggle for life into victory by helping with Lucy's health over the last few years.
