Lydia Knabian Cseri passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 86. Lydia, the eldest of four daughters, was born in Aleppo, Syria on May 21, 1931 to Krikor and Mariam Knabian. She studied nursing at the American University of Beirut and came to the states in the late 1950s where she attended Columbia University and the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a nurse anesthetist and paved the way for her two sisters to come to the US. Lydia married Geza Cseri in 1961. In the late 1960's they settled in McLean, VA. After staying at home with her four children for many years, she obtained her real estate license in the late "70s. She loved entertaining, cooking native Armenian foods, baking, gardening and travelling. Lydia is now at peace with the Heavenly Father. A small ceremony was held at Quantico National Cemetery where she was laid to rest alongside her husband. She is survived by three sisters, two half-sisters, four children and eight grandchildren.
