Lynn Therese DePont of Huntingtown, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018. She was born in Washington, DC.
Lynn graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Radio, TV and Film. Lynn worked for the Federal Government for 38 years. She worked for the FCC, the Smithsonian and spent most of her federal career as a Lead Budget Analyst for the U.S. EPA.
Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to see her cousins. She was an avid gardener. She collected dollhouses and enjoyed going to antique stores to select furniture for the dollhouses. She also loved dogs, especially her Dalmatians. Lynn was very family-oriented and researched and chronicled her family history. She enjoyed music and was a member of the choir at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Huntingtown, MD. After Lynn retired in 2015, she was able to spend more time cooking her favorite recipes.
Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Maurice. She is survived by her mother, Marcella, her brothers, Rob (Leslie), Tom (Jill) and Jack (Lee), and her sister, Mary Jean (Phil) Osborne.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Matt, Maria, Sarah, Casey, Lauren (Nick), Zach, Morgan, Andrew, Daniel, Lexie, Charlie, and Mary Rose.
Lynn will be lovingly remembered at a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church, 885 Cox Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639. A Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the .
