MENES PAULINE H. MENES On Saturday, May 16, 2009, PAULINE H. MENES of College Park, MD. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Menes; devoted mother of Sandra Ashe (Jeffrey), Robin Elvord (James) and Bambi Menes (Gregory Gavin); loving sister of Shirley Schwarz. Also survived by three cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor and Hailey. She was a 40-year member of the House of Delegates and co-founder of the Women''s Legislative Caucus. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, 1 p.m. at Beth Torah Congregation, 6700 Adelphi Rd., Hyattsville, MD 20782. Interment King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, VA. Family will be receiving friends at Beth Torah Congregation following interment. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Maryland Women''s Heritage Center, PO Box 719, Brooklynville, MD 21022-0719. Pauline was such a wonderful friend. Her energy and sense of wonder were amazing. Sharon and I spent 2 beautiful weeks in Italy with Pauline several years ago -- she could outwalk both of us! My thoughts and prayers are with her family
