I was Peter's neighbor growing up. I was a year and a class ahead of him. Our backyards joined. We also played football together in High School. He was a really nice guy and I'm saddened by his passing so many years ago. I became aware of his passing in 2010 and just realized I could post a remembrance. Rest if Peace Peter.

Reflection...will always remember my friend and fellow human resource professional. Pete was such a well rounded and very verse person in all areas of his life- he loved his family, he loved his job, he loved life. I will always remember the time he lectured at Stratford University one night and made it such an enjoyable evening for my students. What a treat that was for the class and for me...Pete knew his stuff! Will always miss you my friend. My thoughts and prayers to you and the family.

We knew Peter through his Dad who is a great family and business friend of our family, Ben and Zipporah Chepkoit, originally from Kenya, now settled at Frederick in Maryland, U.S.A. We continue to pray for courage and strength to Peter's family at time of sorrow and beyond. May God's fathomless billows of Grace rest with all the family. Ben & Zipporah Chepkoit.

I am sure the pain and uncertainty of Peter's sudden death still lingers. However, it was very obvious to me that he was a man who feared God and loved his fellow man. I never met him but I feel like I know him from the words and expressions from others at the funeral services. Peter and Joyce, rest in the peace of knowing that God has him now and you will reunite with him some day. Love you both. Jochebed

Peter was a true professional, always providing assistance and advice, always available with a good joke or story to share. Peter's ability to role play in preparation for difficult talks made things so much easier for the rest of us. I will really miss you and all the guidance you provided...thanks for sharing the little bit of Canadian in you eh!

When I met Peter and as I got to know him, I knew that he and my sister Maritza would be perfect for each other. I am proud to say that I introduced them but God brought them together. Thank you for loving Maritza and all of our family as much as you did. We will miss you dearly.

I never had the privilege of getting to know Peter, but what I remember most about the couple of occasions on which we met is humor and a warm, easy smile. This loss is keenly felt by many, and my thoughts are with all his family and friends.

For me a smile is sometimes hard to come by and I cannot take for granted the power of a smile. Peter's smile was so big and bright and best of all, it was infectious. Thank you, Peter, for making me smile.

I was not yet a father myself when I was struck by the strength of the bond Peter had with his new son, Joshua. I remember how effortlessly Peter carried Joshua like a football in one arm. And, I remember the way both Peter and baby Joshua's eyes lit up as Peter tossed Joshua up in the air. Every time I threw my own baby boys up in the air in play(not as effortlessly and trying not to throw my back out), I thought of Peter.

Pete lit up every room he entered. He was a pleasure to know, and such image of how we should live our lives, in Christ. Pete impacted my life, and will always be a part of my life. One time at one of the YL summer camps we all lip synced and I was in Pete's group and we sang songs by Billy Joel and Blues Travelers...I always hear their music and think of Pete. Also, Pete "blobed" me one time at a summer camp and I went to the moon and back..that was awesome. As everyone keeps saying, our lives were better because of Pete. We cannot wait to see you again. And, as we said in church today - our loss is heavan's gain.

Pete definitely has a special place in my heart. He was a man of God who had a big impact on a lot of people and he was also a lot of fun. I will miss him and am sorry I can't make it to the funeral on Saturday. I'm praying for Maritza and the kids.

My life was better because Pete was a part of it. Kind, generous, ready to lead when called upon. My memories of Pete all include laughter. Pete's laugh was contagious. I enjoyed every moment of our friendship. I look forward to seeing him again in Our Father's house.

This is a true tragedy. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of a great man like Peter. He used to mentor my students and was very generous with his time, energy, and vast knowledge of the hotel industry. I am praying for his family as he will be forever missed. It will be difficult for them to be in a world without him. May the love of friends and family help to carry you through your grief. The hotel industry is a very small community, and I am positive that they will band together to help with the childrens' college funds. God Bless.
