ROBERT MACE
"Bob"

Passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018 at Inova Fairfax Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Anne; his children, Daniel, Ryan and Timothy (Laura); his step-mother, Dorothy (Mae) Mace; and two step-brothers, Daniel and Michael Gordon. He is predeceased by his brother, Jack. Bob worked for Arlington County for 30 years. At the time of Bob's death, he was president of the Arlington County Retired Employees Association (ACREA). Before moving to Lake Barcroft in 1999, He had served several years as president of the Lee-Boulevard Heights Civic Association. Bob was active in BSA Troop 624 and the proud father of two Eagle Scouts. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and bluegrass music; but he was happiest camping with his family in the beautiful Shenandoah National Park. A memorial service is planned for early Fall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.) at some.org. Online condolences may be made at:
