STEPHEN WRIGHT BAUER
On Friday, May 27, 2011, of Woodbridge, VA, beloved brother and cherished friend was tragically killed in an accident in North Carolina. He is survived by his brother, David Bauer; sister, Tina, her children, Robin and Camille; Camille's children, Shyanne, Reign and Riley, all residing in Greely, Colorado and his extended friendships throughout the United States. Steve was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Arlington, VA graduating from Washington-Lee/Yorktown High School in 1973. He was a gifted gymnast and pursued his love and passion of the sport through coaching and mentoring thousands of children. "Coach Steve" opened his own training facility, Bubbas Bounders Gymnastics in Woodbridge, VA and later continued his coaching with the Arlington YMCA Angels. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 18 from 12 to 4 p.m., at Bluemont Park, Arlington, VA and from 8 p.m. to close at Thirsty Bernie's, Glebe and Lee Hwy, Arlington, VA.
