Steven Lee Dayton  
July 16, 1956 - July 3, 2018  

Holly Springs, NC- It is with great sorrow that the family of Steven Lee Dayton announces his passing on July 3, 2018 at the age of 61 years due to cardiovascular disease at his home in Holly Springs, NC.
Steve was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Arlington, VA here he attended Washington Lee High School. Steve worked for MBC Precision Imaging for 18 years as Director of Operations in Fairfax, VA. He was an accomplished musician in the DC, Northern Virginia area, playing for bands Cape Horn, Sidetract and the 5th Street Band in his later years with his wife and childhood friends.
Steve is survived by his loving father, Carlton (Pete) Dayton, his loving mother, Georgia Ann Dayton who since Steve's passing has also passed away, his wife and best friend of 25 years, Melissa Morgan-Dayton, sons, Chris and Garrett Dayton, brother, Glenn Dayton and sister-in-law, Ana Dayton, sister, Joni Shelters and brother-in-law, Greg Shelters, parents-in-law, Jim and Margaret Morgan, four nieces and three nephews. Steve's wishes were to be cremated.
