SUSAN FRENSILLI WILLIAMS
With extreme heartbreak, we announce the passing of Susan Frensilli Williams, 59, on December 18, 2021, at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital surrounded by loved ones after a long, difficult struggle with Multiple Myeloma. She faced her diagnosis as she lived her life...with grace, love, kindness and courage. Susan was a beautiful, strong, intelligent, and kind soul who loved life and enjoyed all the experiences and people that came with it. Her smile lit up a room and provided a window into her heart. She was a compassionate, loving, selfless and generous person, and loyal friend whose warmth touched many hearts. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Susan is survived by her husband, Andy Williams; children Kimberly Williams and Evan Williams; father Frederick J. Frensilli, MD; mother Patricia Frensilli; step-mother Esme Frensilli; sisters Carol Frensilli, Janet Frensilli, Virginia Perry, and many extended relatives. Susan grew up in Potomac, MD, graduated from the University of Maryland Journalism School, and worked at several non-profits and marketing agencies. She also had her own publishing business, and worked part-time at wine shops in Ashburn and Raleigh. Susan and her family relocated to Holly Springs, NC in 2007, after living in Ashburn, VA, and Washington, DC. Her many loves centered on time with friends and family, and she enjoyed overseas travel, lazy beach days, kitties, everything wine, murder mysteries, British crime shows, Amazing Race, silly comedy movies, board games and puzzles, 70s-90s music, and cheering on the Terps, Pirates, Wolfpack, WFT, Panthers and Canes. But, her favorite thing was being the mother to Kimberly and Evan. We cherished every moment with her and love her forever.A private memorial service will be held at a date and location yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (https://give.themmrf.org/fundraiser/3631547).
