Theodore A. Grish (Age 81)  

Died at home on June 5, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Altreu, Switzerland, Ted immigrated to New York City in 1952. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from CCNY (City College of New York) and an MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Ted began his career at Riverside Research Institute where he did work for DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and AMRAD (ARPA Measurement Radar) rising to the position of Research Director. In 1984, he joined XonTech, Inc, where he was Vice President and a member of the Board or Directors. In 2004, Ted joined EMSolutions in Arlington where he was made a Fellow. Ted spent his career supporting the Department of Defense and advancing national security. Upon retirement he received a letter of commendation from the US Navy praising him for "his dedication to our nation's safety." Ted's family describes him as: brilliant; generous; commander in chief; seriously funny; a gifted woodworker/furniture maker; camping guru. He loved hats, gin Martinis and mayonaise. Ted is survived by his wife, Teresa; daughters Denise Gabrelski (Michael), Kirsten Grish, Stephanie Gaelen Grish; granddaughter Autumn Gabrelski; sister Marie-Louise "Olyn" Grish (Hector Peralta); nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Severn Grish (Carol). A commemoration will be held at the family home on June 23 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the .
