OAKLEY THOMAS RICHARD OAKLEY, JR. (Age 76) Passed away on June 21, 2014 in Hiawassee, GA. Mr. Oakley was born to the late Thomas R. Oakley, Sr. and Susie Berrong Oakley on January 25, 1938 in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas R. Oakley III "Ricky" and Frederick Todd Oakley, his sister, Mary Sue Nelson and grand- daughter, Ashlyn Oakley. He is survived by daughter, Susan Oakley (Thomas Lloyd) of Sterling, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Nathan Dixon, of Blairsville, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Laura "Sunshine" and David Ray, of Hayesville, North Carolina. His grandchildren, Christina Rose Sackett, Catherine "Cadee" and husband Randy Alley, Margaret "Maggie" Sackett, Jacqueline, Teresa and Allison Lloyd; Kiersten Oakley-Cox, Madelyn Sutton and Sloan Sutton, Katie Dixon; Bailey Chastain, Logan Sosbee and Jon David Ray; a great-grand daughter, Callie Elizabeth Alley; his brother-in-law, Larry Nelson, niece, Kara Sue Nelson, and nephew, Chip Nelson, as well as twin great niece and nephew, Eden and Elijah Nelson; Condolences can be shared at Banister Funeral Home in Hiawassee, GA. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 on July 25, 2014 at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, in Hiawassee, GA, followed by burial at Osborne Cemetery.
