YOSHIAKI ITOH  
Long time owner and executive chef of the Makoto restaurant on MacArthur Blvd., passed away at Fair Oaks INOVA hospital on September 3, 2013 of natural causes. Mr. Itoh is survived by his long time companion, Penpa Pongariyasub "Pam"; his two sons, Gene (wife, Hilary and children, Aiji, Alisia and Yuuki) and Jessie (wife, Mia); and his daughter, Sandra Itoh.
