SLEE DON JAY SLEE Colonel, USMC (Ret.) Passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Suzanne S. Slee; three sons, David L. Slee, Don H. Slee and his wife, Janet and Frank H. Slee; a daughter, Nancy Slee Novak and her husband, Jim; five grandsons, three sisters and one brother. Col. Slee was a highly decorated pilot during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his service his personal decorations included the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V," the Air Medal (3 awards), including 24 Strike/Flight Awards, and the Meritorious Service Medal. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA 22151. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Demaine at 7 p.m. and burial with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 1 p.m.
