CONWAY, REV. PIERRE HYACINTH, O.P. (Age 90)

Dominican priest, died peacefully at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington D.C. on Monday, January 23, 2006, surrounded by his fellow friars singing the traditional Salve Regina. Thomist, scholar, preacher, author, mentor, confessor and friend of the poor, he was the Spiritual Director of the Immaculate Conception Chapter of the Third Order of Preachers for more than 15 years. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at the Dominican House, 487 Michigan Ave., NE, Washington, DC. 20017. Donations to help the poor and the formation of new priests may be made in his honor to the Dominican Order.
