Walter M. Kardy (Age 90)  
On Thursday, July 19, 2018, of Washington, DC. Past Executive Director for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, the International Council of Employers of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and the Instrument Contracting and Engineering Association. He was a pension fund trustee, an arbitrator for jurisdictional disputes and worked on international projects.He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Elizabeth Wegrocki; his daughter Ellen; his niece Kathryn Fritz (Charlie) and by nieces and nephews in the Kardy, Walker and Wegrocki families.Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 3810 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20016 on Saturday, August 11 from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Reception after the funeral. Inurnment at Arlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.

I worked with Walter for several years at the International Union of bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. I will always appreciate his efforts to strengthen and support the labor relations with our Union and the ICE contractor group.
Walter had the determination to stand by his convictions.
