LANG DORIS LOOSE LANG February 27, 1927May 19, 2009 Doris L. Lang, 82, of Vienna, VA formerly of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her home. She was born in Williamsburg, a daughter of the late Edward and Minnie Hoover Loose. She married Vaughn O. Lang on December 30, 1949 in Williamsburg. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Lt. Gen. Vaughn O. Lang (Ret.); a son, Philip D. of Gordonsville, VA; two daughters, Cory E. Edwards and Nancy J. Lang both of Sterling, VA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Bagshaw of Williamsburg and Helen Iverson of North Post, FL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Edward Loose. Mrs. Lang was a 1945 graduate of Williamsburg High School and also a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. As an Army wife, Doris accompanied her husband to Korea, Germany and Hawaii, supporting his 40 year Army career. She was a member of the Officer''s Wives Club, Washington, DC. Mrs. Lang enjoyed gardening, reading and playing the piano. There will be no public viewing; however a public graveside service will be at Henry''s Lutheran Cemetery at Yellow Springs, Williamsburg RR 1, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 with Pastor Tiffany E. Hopkins officiating. Arrangements by BOLGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Williamsburg.
