I remember manicured lawns, multicolored Azaleas, Bird Feeders and a Little Lady whos big heart and soul are forever visible in her paintings.

What a great lady, a Grande Dame without peer.
She has such a special place in my heart, and so I know how sad you all must be.
I think she would really want you to celebrate her life and accomplishments. I remember when she took up painting she told me she had been a cartographer and map maker and found the composition of painting a picture similar to laying out her drawings and maps.
Of course, every time Louise and I came up and went by to see her,she always reminded me of her lovely Norwegian Maple that I backed over with my car. The tree had long since recovered, but I suppose I reminded her of that tree and she would proceed to tell me how she nursed it back to health. She really could grow anything, even that damn Norwegian Maple.
You know she always wanted us to return the first painting she gave us. It was 3 boys climbing a hill; she said it was her primitive period and embarrassed her; she couldn't believe I really liked it and still do. She would tell me I had no taste.
I shall miss her as much as my own mother.
Love Augie & Louise
