JOHN BOWDEN Obituary
JOHN DALE BOWDEN
On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence in Springfield, VA, beloved husband of the late Karen Bowden; father of Erica Bowden Goodlin (Brian) of Plano, Texas and loving husband of Kathleen Jean Bowden entered into rest with his Lord. He is survived by three beautiful grandchildren, Justin, Colin, and Natalie; his loving sister, Carol (Fred); nephew, Gary; and nieces, Teri and Brenda. John also leaves three step-children, Kelly (Travis), Chris, and Bobby; three beautiful step-grandchildren, Bennett, Jackson and Reagan; a host of loved ones and friends. A memorial will be held on Monday March 25 at 11 a.m. at the Falls Church Church of Christ, 6149 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Thursday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at EVERLY COMMUNITY FUNERAL CARE, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22044. Interment following at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Jill's House in McLean, Virginia.

I met Mr. Bowden several times when he would come down to visit Erica. He was such a nice man and I could always tell how proud he was of Erica and her kids. I know he will be missed so much.
