MARGARET M. ERNST  
Of Washington, DC, died at her home on Thursday, September 26, 2013. She was born on August 22, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Mary Ann Ernst and John James Ernst.  Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Frederick E. Jenney and her two children, Madeline D. Jenney and Matthew D. Jenney. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters, Mary Kathleen, John, Julia, Timothy and Christopher Ernst; and by many extended family members and friends. She is sorely missed. We will all remember her indomitable spirit. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 12 noon at Tony & Joe's Seafood Place, 3000 K St NW (Washington Harbor). Dear Mary Kathleen, John, Laurie, Julia, Tim and Chris,

I am so very sorry for the tragic loss of your dear sister Margaret. I know what a lovely person she was and have heard how much she did for her community in the years since I have seen her. She sounds like a person who was greatly admired for her strength in dealing with adversity. I know that your mother was so proud of her business accomplishments during her career. So sad to lose someone who should have had so many more years to live her life. You are lucky to have each other for comfort. The older I get, the more I appreciate having my siblings.

My sincere condolences to all of the Ernst Family. I was shocked and saddened to hear about Margaret's passing so suddenly. I am thinking of all of you and how difficult this must be. I know that Margaret gave so much of herself to her family and community, her death is a tremendous loss to all.
I hope that your fond memories of Margaret's "joie de vie " will give you some comfort at this very sad time. Margaret and her Mom, Mary Ann are rejoined in the arm's of God . May they enjoy love and peace for eternity.

My heart is truly saddened to hear of Margaret's premature passing. Margaret and I first met in first grade at Nativity of Our Lord school. Throughout high school, it was hard not be revived by the warmth in her smile, the bounce in her energized spirit and her twinkling eyes. I have very fond memories of sleepover, her many talents, many high school activities and fun times, and hours of laughter! My prayers are certainly with her husband and children, and certainly with Mary Kathleen, John, Julia, Chris and Tim. I pray God's comfort and grace will continue to embrace you all with His strength.

The Ernst family is certainly an important part of my years in O.P. John and I were buddies from kindergarten through our years at Nativity on to sharing Homecoming Court at OPHS. My sincere condolences to you John and your siblings. My memory of Margaret is you always felt better after seeing her.

During high school Margaret Ernst wowed most of us with her stunning talents just as she touched each of our souls with her generous heart. Her friendship and agile wit will always be remembered, along with her twinkling eyes, beaming smile and who could ever forget her striking chestnut hair. She inspired many of us to live life more fully, to be true to self and to accept others in grace.
Margaret was a showstopper – a true leader!

Personally, I thank you for being fearless and showing me the way to a richer life Margaret, God Bless you and your family. You are all in my prayers.

So sadden to hear of Margaret's passing.I knew her from school in Orchard Park. Even though we parted ways she was always that one person you never forgot. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family. May she rest in peace and continue to play her beautiful music.

Margaret lived a heroic life of love, grace and beauty. Her frank openness and steady gaze were a rare commodity in today's world. No one who met Margaret left a stranger.
