Passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2014 at her home in Sterling, VA surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Albert Blair. Devoted mother of A. Scott (Pamela) Blair, John D. Blair and his fiancé Winnie B. She also leaves her beloved four legged kids, Tama and Buttons.
Katherine was a retired college Professor obtaining several degrees, a Daughter of the American Revolution, and a national historian for the Doane family. She was actively involved with the American Kennel Club as well as the Federation of Dog Owners and Breeders. She was also instrumental in the legislation for the protection of Dog Owners and Breeders.
Friends may call at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Va on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Sterling United Methodist Church, 304 E. Church Road, Sterling, VA on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Sterling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes For The Blind (www.guidingeyes.org).
