ROBERT AUSTIN YAGER
Robert Austin Yager, 88, passed on Sunday May 17, 2015, after a long illness. A native of Culpeper, VA, Bob lived most of his life in the Washington, DC area. Services held Saturday, May 23 at Good Hope Baptist Church, 14123 Norman Rd, Culpeper, VA with viewing at 11 a.m., ceremony by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at 11:25 a.m., funeral service at 12:30 p.m. with interment and repast to follow. In lieu of flowers, send donations to: Alpha Omega Chapter Scholarship Fund (for college-bound students) at P.O. Box 90158, Washington, DC, 20090. Or Urban Ministries of Durham, 410 Liberty St, Durham, NC, 27701.

Whenever I think of him or see his picture, he always brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. Such a dear, sweet person and gentleman. So blessed to have known him since his Neval Thomas days. Gone too soon for those of us he left behind but NEVER FORGOTTEN! Thanks, Mr. Yager for the pleasure of knowing you and for the memories.

Words can't express the magnitude of such a great man, he was my other father. You will truly be missed but God has you home and now I'm sure the cards are flying in heaven. Rest in peace, I know you all are just preparing a home for us all. I love You, Julie-Tricy,Lyn & Greg hang in there.

God has plucked a special rose from among us to be with Him in heaven for eternity - a man who generously and lovingly shared his strength, integrity, talents, skills, time, love, and wisdom with others; a man who loved Lynn, Patrice and his grandson with all of his being. We will sincerely miss you - my friend of 46 years. Rest well in God's arms with Jesus at your side.
