HARVEY I. CHIDEL
On Friday, September 23, 2016 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis P. Chidel; devoted father of Lisa (Michael) Kokoszka, Harriette (George) Lesznar, Miles (Peggy) Chidel and the late Beverly Chidel; loving brother of Marcia Reid, Ira (Elinor) Chidel, Sandy Rudo and Brenda (James) Smith. Zayde of Sam, Anna, Max, Jacob, Kimberly, Julie and Heather. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2016, 11 a.m. at Judan Memorial Chapel, 16225 Batchellors Forrest Road, Olney, MD, with interment to follow. Family will be observing Shiva Monday and Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. at his late residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

I was so shocked and saddend to learn of the passing of my dear classmate from the class of 1950 at Theodore Roosevelt High School, Washington, DC. Whenever I saw Harvey in the years after, very seldom as it was, he always had a great smile and a warm, friendly greeting. Cynthia and I send our deepest condolences.
