My heart still experiences a pang when I come across the names Lennie and Robbie Goldstein in my address book. They were such a unit in life that I cannot think of them separately, and I miss both of them. We began as neighbors, then friends, then I worked with Lenny in the 70s. They will be long remembered by me, always with warmth.

Lenny was family to me. A kind man who had every good reason to turn down my invitation to meet. Instead, he took me to visit my father's grave in Baltimore; he shared what he knew about my father who died when I was just a little girl, and he treated me like a distant but never really forgotten relative. A less generous person might have treated me with contempt. That just wasn't Lenny's way. I am so sorry for your loss.

Lenny was a neighbor and employer, but always a friend. I've been missing him these last few years, and was so glad that we met again last year for a brief while. If the measure of a man is how and by who he is remembered, Lenny was a great man. I offer sincere sympathy to Robbie, to his boys and their families, and to his sister Sheila.

Dear Robbie and family,
I was saddened to hear of Lenny's passing. I know all too well there are no words that work to ease the loss of the love of one's life but just want you to know I am thinking of you, your sons and grandchildren.

Dear Robbie,
We are truly saddened at Lenny's passing. He was a kind, highly intelligent, man with a great sense of humor and real human warmth. Abby has been so fortunate to have had such a fine man as a father in law and her children will all fondly remember their him all their lives. I know that you will cherish fond memories of Lenny for the remainder of your days. We send our love to you from all the Allen family.

Dearest Robbie, Lee, Bryan & Michael and family. I was Lenny's secretary and friend. I worked at Goldstein 7 Baron for 7 years but was his friend for decades. I am deeply sorry to hear of Lenny's passing. He was always kind to me and adored our youngest daughter, Katie, and she adored him as well. I called her yesterday and she cried.
She also wanted me to come to the memorial service I was redoing Katie's room and would come to work full of paint I could not wipe off. one day a man came to my door, Marty Book, and said a friend wanted him to finish the painting and put up wallpaper, to be billed to him. Didn't dawn on me it was Lenny who sent him.He will be missed. If you need anything just let me know. I always reminded him I was 10 days older than he and he would laugh. So sorry for your loss. Love and Prayers.
