Apostle Sterling Green
Departed this earthly life on April 20, 2020, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A great man of faith and love, he is survived by his devoted wife, Sophie Green; daughters Sterlicia Rodney and Tamika Willie; grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Public viewing on Friday, May 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Howell Funeral Home, 10220 Guilford Road, Jessup, MD 20794. Private service on Saturday, May 2 followed by interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Howell Funeral Home.

Our hearts are truly broken. We have loss a great man who meant so much to the HOP as well as my family. I vividly remember growing up in Anacostia HOP how Apostle Green would tease the Adult Ushers at any program saying We gonna send them puppies back on the porch. Needless to say the BIG DOGS always prevailed in the victory and all we could do is laugh because it was all done out of love and to build Anacostia. We will truly miss you Apostle Green and all the great things you have done. Take your rest Apostle Green.#welldone

I had the honor of working with Apostle Sterling Green for 40+ years at Anacostia House of Prayer. He meant a lot to me and he taught me so much. When he talked I listened and when he preached I paid close attentiopn and always received something for my soul salvation. I want to offer my sincere condolences for someone who will be so missed.

You started as one of my mentors alongside Apostle Manning. Then as time passed we became absolute rivals because you helped me to become a worker. My old crew even did skits about you in which you actually enjoyed. We've been battling each other since the days of DX, to the Bailey Spiritual Bombers, and now even with the Bailey Spiritual Sounds of Return. Even with all of our battles, there has always been a healthy dose of love, respect, and admiration for each other.
You also showed me the blueprint of how to be an excellent husband, father, a true follower of our Daddy, and of course a booster. You will always be THE SUPER BOOSTER and will never be forgotten. All that you showed me and what you taught me will be used.
Your family has my sincerest thoughts and prayers.

I send my sincerest condolences to the Green family. Although, I never had the pleasure of meeting Apostle Green, I know his daughter Sterlicia who clearly adored her dad. I am sadden by the loss of a great man. The entire Green family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
