Succumbed to cancer on Monday, April 22, 2002 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was surrounded by family and close friends at the time of his death. Survivors include his father, Compton; two brothers, Christopher and Cecil; two sisters, Chummy and Codessa; other members of the Gill and Voglezon families and a host of friends. His mother, Shirley Dorette Voglezon Gill, preceded him in death in 1993. Viewing will be held Friday, April 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at JOHNSON AND JENKINS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 716 Kennedy St. N.W., Washington, D.C. Viewing will also begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Allbright United Methodist Church, 401 Rittenhouse St., N.W., Washington, D.C. with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Bladensburg, MD.
