On Thursday, January 2, 2003, BERNARD L. BOTELER, SR. passed peacefully to eternal life at his home in Olney, MD. He was predeceased by his first wife of 17 years, Kathrine Rose Stanton Boteler, by his son, Bernard L. Boteler Jr., by his second wife of fifty seven years, Alma Elizabeth Albertson Boteler; and by his brother, Gordon R. Boteler. He is the beloved father of Rose Mary McAleer (Jack), J. Stanton Boteler, R. Eugene Boteler (Mary), and Mary Elizabeth DeMattia (Anthony). He is also survived by his only sister, Annie A. Brown of Hagerstown, MD and by his brothers, Millard J. Boteler of Fairfax Station, VA, Earl A. Boteler Sr. of Alexandria, VA and Lawrence H. Boteler of McLean, VA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Roads, Norbeck, MD on Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday, January 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's School Campaign Fund, 4401 Norbeck Rd., Rockville, MD 20853. Arrangements by COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
