Estella Tesch
Estella was born July 15th 1921, the daughter of the late Asa and Frances (Marquardt) Jenesma, in the town of Wausau. On February 5th 1941, she was united in marriage to Lester D. Tesch, at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Easton, where they were members. Lester and Estella were third generation farmers on the Tesch dairy farm, which is still in operation today, until moving to Wausau in 1964. Together they shared 27 years of marriage, raising their children and creating memories. For 21 years, Estella worked in the Wausau school district as a cook.
Estella was a giant of fearless faith. She was a dedicated member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schofield, for 49 years and enjoyed volunteering and being a part of the Ladies Aid. Estella was always willing to help family and friends and greatly loved spending time with them. She crocheted many Afghans and read in her spare time. Over the years, Estella traveled to every state, except Florida.
On Wednesday, May 8th 2013, Estella Olga Selma Tesch went to be home with her Lord. She died under the care of AseraCare Hospice, at Acorn Hill, in Mosinee, with family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Roger (Beverly), Wausau, Arlet (Cliff) Binder, Green Bay, Gary (Penny Hood), Brodhead, WI, and Aaron (Kathy), Carterville, GA; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sister, Ella Bird, Weston; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jenesma, WA, and Della (Ruben) Marquardt, Wausau; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, on January 16, 1969; great-granddaughter, Kayla Abt; three siblings, Clarence Jenesma, Clara Kurth, and Joyce Tally; and sister- and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Raymond) Marquardt.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 13th, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schofield. Reverend Walter Davidson will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Easton. Family will receive guests Sunday, May 12th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau; and again on Monday, at church, from 9:30 a.m. until the service. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
Estella's family would like to extend a very special 'thank you' to Rose Boron and everyone at Acorn Hill for the exemplary care provided to Estella over the past four years.

She was my godmother and I know her prayers carried me well. I believe I inherited her fearless faith.
I will never forget my confirmation when she gave me a journal and I continued to journal for 30 years after that. She was a quiet and gentle soul. Heaven gotten an angel.
So sorry for your loss. Blessed to have known her.

I will miss my friend and other Mother. She will always be in my heart. Many great memories of our conversations and times together over the past 48 years. It was an honor to be a part of her life. The humor, kindness and love - that was Estella. Brave and selfless, she gave me courage when I had none. Peace is yours now! Give Lester a hug for me! The best parents that a kid could ask for! Thanks for adopting me into your family & heart!
