Hall, Mary Lou

Mary Lou Hall, 76, Wausau, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 2, 1937 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Bandoch) Kutil. On April 30, 1957, she married Roland Hall at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.

Mary Lou worked for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, Michael's Candy, and retired from the Wausau Daily Herald. Her most important job was being a loving wife, a loving mother to her children and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren.

Mary Lou was very active with the Girl Scouts as a camp counselor and a Girl Scout Leader for four years. She was also a den mother for the Cub Scouts for four years. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and was involved in many activities at St. Michael's School, where she was affectionately known as the "Popcorn Lady".

The neighborhood where Mary Lou and Roland raised their family was like one big extended family, all of whom were an important part of Mary Lou's Life.

Survivors include her husband, Roland Hall, Wausau; five children, Tom (Michelle) Hall, Marshall; Shirley (Larry Longmire) Hall, Wausau; Ann (Dan) Hall-Tritten, Wausau; Pat (Julie) Hall, Milwaukee; and Michael (Jenna) Hall, Weston; one daughter-in-law, Linn Hall, Wausau; ten grandchildren, Lauren Krajewski; Elizabeth, Nick, Adam, Talus, Avalon and Erin Hall; Ryan Knippel; Breanna and Brett Tritten; and one brother, Jack (Shirley) Kutil, Wausau.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome Hall and infant William Hall, and one brother, Robert Kutil.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wausau Manor for their wonderful care and support.
