Matthew Deicher Obituary
Deicher, Matthew

Matthew M. Deicher, 47, Mosinee, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born July 9, 1970, the son of Katherine (Schirmer) Deicher, Wausau, and the late Darrell Deicher.

Matt worked at Wausau Hydraulics and Aspirus Wausau Hospital in the maintenance department. He longed to save lives through his part-time volunteer services as an Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter and First Responder at his local Mosinee Fire Department. Lastly, a full time Dad, who loved to be and always involved.

Matt enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching sports, hunting (before and even after his injury with Empowered Dream Hunts), and participating in community events with family and friends.

Survivors, besides his mother, Katherine, include his two children, Austin (Kayla) Deicher and Whitney Deicher; two grandchildren, Brody and Caden, and another grandchild on the way; a brother, Jeffery (Teresa) Deicher, Kronenwetter; a nephew, Hunter Danczyk; four nieces, Kristy and Madelyn Deicher, Brandi Danczyk and Monica Helgerson; and many friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, Scott Deicher.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Bethany Baptist Church, 6601 Alderson St, Schofield. The Rev. Casey Schifelbine will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Stratford. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Visitation will be again from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the church. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com

Supporters are beyond appreciated and our expression of gratitude to all family, staff, friends, and organizations is the least that can be given- know his heart loved all he encountered.

Memorials in Matt's name can be directed to the family and will be donated to Empowered Dream Hunts, Inc.
