Logan Jacob Brummond "L.J.", age 22, of Wausau, died on Sunday, January 10, 2016 as a result of a tragic car accident.

Logan was born on June 9, 1993 in Wausau to Brian and Nicole (Schemmel) Brummond. He graduated from Wausau East High School in 2012. He was currently a senior psychology and political science major at UW Stevens Point, with dreams of going to graduate school to become a lawyer.

Family and friends were the most important thing in Logan's life. He also lived for hockey. Not only was he a huge Colorado Avalanche fan, but he played and coached as well. He also enjoyed online gaming with his friends.

Logan is survived by his parents Brian and Nicole Brummond of Wausau; brother Austin Brummond of Wausau; maternal grandparents Wayne and Robyn Miller of Shawano; paternal grandparents Gerry and Bette Brummond of Wausau; Uncles Paul Schemmel of Colorado, Charles Miller of Shawano, Bradley Brummond of Weston, and Brendan Brummond of Wausau; girlfriend and love of his life Kristi Verhasselt of Weston; his dog Avalanche; and many cousins, relatives, and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Friends of East Hockey, PO Box 1784, Wausau, WI 54402-1784.
