James L. "Jim" Ayers

James "Jim" L. Ayers passed away peacefully Sunday, June 15, 2008. He was born in Habersham, TN. He moved with his family to Washington when he was just a young man. He worked at an orchard in Peshastin and then for the WSDOT, before moving with his wife, Kristina to East Wenatchee, where he worked in construction. In 1973, he received his pilot license and enjoyed flying for many years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his sons and fishing buddies. He is survived by six sons, Randy of Spanaway, David, Mike and Chris, all of East Wenatchee, Terry of Graham and Jim Jr. of Spokane; six grandchildren, Randall Jr., Luke, Nicole, Samantha, Cody and Justin; three brothers, Elmer, Floyd Jr. and Bill Ayers; and six sisters, Minnie Sue Steinert, Mary Lou Robinson, Paulette Kerwood, Pauline Christopherson, Ida Andruss and Joanne Hahn. An Open House Memorial will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1011 Dolfay Lane, East Wenatchee.
