Ronald Clifton Pawlik, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Bellaire, TX. Ron was born on November 18, 1936 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Saint Thomas High School (Houston), attended Saint Edward's University and the University of Houston where he earned his B.B.A. degree. He retired as a senior accountant from CSX formerly Texas Gas Transmission. Ron was very active in the Bellaire Optimist Club and Bellaire Little League serving as President of both organizations. He was an avid Texas Longhorn and local high school sports fan. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Ron was a kind, generous and loving husband, father, PaPa, and son; he will be greatly missed.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Edward Peter Pawlik and mother, Pearl Ida Pawlik. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Diane; sons, James and Edward and wife Alyson; grandchildren, Zachary, Madalyn and Abigail Pawlik.

Funeral services were held at Earthman Bellaire Funeral home and interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery Feb. 5, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LIVESTRONG foundation supporting team Cardiac Avengers, the American Heart Association or Mission Oblates.

I have known Ron since he and Diane were dating. Diane's brother Chris and I were good friends. I have always enjoyed Ron's good humor and friendship. We will miss him very much. All blessings and prayers to Diane who just buried her mother last year. Love to you all.
