Bill was born in Calgary, AB on May 30, 1943 and passed away peacefully in his sleep May 5, 2019 at Seasons in High River. Bill attended the Alberta College of Fine Arts. He worked at the Allied Art Center, on the Caravan for the Glenbow Museum, and as a commercial artist. In 1982 he moved to Okotoks and started the Sheep River Art Studio where he produced beautiful wildlife watercolors. Many of Bill's paintings can be seen at the Okotoks town office. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and a frequent contributor to Ducks Unlimited and other conservation foundations Bill was predeceased by his parents Ross and Thelma Holder. He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Ron) Nobert; grandsons Shawn and Alex Nobert; sister Darlene (Mal) Kirkland; and his honorary daughter Marci Briggs and her daughters Destiny and Dilana.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Oilfields General Hospital and Seasons Retirement Home in High River for all the wonderful care you gave Bill over the past year.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on May 30th from 1-4 pm at the Turner Valley Golf Course (700 Imperial Dr, Turner Valley, AB).In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ducks Unlimited (www.ducks.ca).
