Bernice Zbeetnoff It is with profound sadness that the family of Mrs. Bernice Zbeetnoff of Saskatoon, SK announces her passing on March 1, 2021. Mom was born in Weyburn, SK to Harold and Elizabeth Marshall on October 26, 1935.Mom was predeceased by her parents Harold and Elizabeth Marshall, her sisters Joyce Stainbrock and Elaine Walker. Up until this month mom was able to reminisce with her older brother Wes Marshall and her amazing sister in law Betty who live in Victoria, BC. Stories of Weyburn, the war years, working at Assiniboia Brokerage, snow storms, grasshoppers, farm friends, the Souris River and most importantly the love story of how Mom and Dad met, the Weyburn Royals Fast Ball team create the full picture of this beautiful woman. Mom's life was blessed with amazing friends and family. So many phone calls, coffees, and beer & juices are witness to that. Bernice was easy to love and was a gift to any conversation. Mom shared and graced our family with her love and wisdom which could only be understood knowing Mom, and Mom and Dad's marriage of 59 years (September 29th, 1961). For better and for worse allowed us all to take on life with Mom as our constant co-pilot. Strength and commitment to being a Mom, wife, Granny, sister and friend; mom was the stronghold for this family. Mom was all ours. Looking at the beauty of her life in her role as our Mom, Dad's wife, our kids Granny, our husbands' Mom-in-law, our cousin's auntie, and an important friend to many, it was clear her forever role was keeping watch and keeping us all on track. If you were blessed to know mom, you know her humor, wisdom and phrases, such as "don't do stupid things'. This will stay in our minds forever. Mom loved her home in Prince Albert, her flower garden, being our number one fan, road trips, Waskesiu, fishing, cards, beer and juice, and her grandkids (Mom was in the delivery room for each birth, first to hold and to say "Hello sweetie"). Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family and most of all her loving devoted husband Joseph Zbeetnoff, daughter Joanne (Pernell) Kirby and their children D.J (son Braxton), Ashlee, Bryce, Kelly, daughter Deb (Dean) Hockley, their children Joseph, Megan, and Alyson, brother Wes (Betty) Marshall and our extended family and our many friends. Celebration of Bernice Zbeetnoff's life will take place every night and potentially at a later date, stay in contact with either Joe, Joanne or Deb. Please respectfully choose a charity of your choice to honour the carefree spirit of our Mom. A private family celebration of Bernice Zbeetnoff's life was held on March 2, 2021. Words cannot explain the gratitude we feel towards Senior's First, CPAS, RUH, St. Paul's Palliative Care, OES, and Jordan Cantwell (Minister St. Martin's United Church) for the comfort and compassion shared with our family. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.hillcrestmemorial.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Joe, Deb, Joanne and families: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can't help but smile every time I think of your mom. She was full of energy and fun. I have wonderful memories of the times we all spent together growing up. She will be missed.
