Patsy was not only a songwriter, but a fierce advocate for the profession. As President of the Nashville Songwriters Assn. (NSAI), Patsy took the fight for fair royalties to Congress. Patsy broke a barrier by being elected to the post by her fellow songwriters during an era when that wasn't common. We will miss her as we treasure her accomplishments.

I'm glad Patsy Bruce had a couple of professional "second acts" following her divorce- and that she found love again!!!

Patsy's contribution to the country-music community will be her legacy, but she will also be remembered for her devotion to civic duty.
